Pair of podcasts

WearOptimo has been in good company lately, featuring on two quite varied Australian podcasts – MTPConnect and Fear & Greed.

Media spotlight: Handy tool for tradies

Summer in Australia can be a nightmare, especially for workers such as tradies, whose jobs may involve spending significant time outside in sweltering temperatures.

Media spotlight: A conversation about opportunity

WearOptimo CEO and founder Professor Mark Kendall has long seen the opportunities in challenge, such as launching a healthtech business in Brisbane, rather than in a more traditional locale such as Silicon Valley or Geneva.  This made it a perfect theme on which to expand when he was interviewed for the Engineers Australia online news hub Create.

The backing of a proven sporting pedigree

Mark Webber

WearOptimo is proud to count Mark Webber AO as an investor and strategic partner. The Formula 1 champion and endurance athlete came on board after meeting WearOptimo founder and CEO Professor Mark Kendall through a mutual association with luxury watch brand Rolex.

A critical conversation with Planet Hope

Cardiovascular disease is the biggest killer on the planet, claiming more than 30 million lives annually. It’s a horrifying statistic. One made even more so when you consider that all too often – especially with heart attacks – treatment could be as simple as taking an aspirin. If only the victim had more time to act.

Trials attract national attention

In recognition of the start of human trials for our hydration Microwearable sensor, WearOptimo has been the subject of a special 9 News feature.

Healthtech innovator WearOptimo and leading healthcare provider Aspen Medical have reached another significant milestone in the commercialisation of ground-breaking microwearable hydration sensors.

Aspen Medical has shown its further confidence in WearOptimo by following up its multi-million-dollar investment with the finalisation of a Strategic Collaboration Agreement and Distribution Framework Agreement.

Clinical trials get the green light

Human trials of a microwearable sensor for the detection of dangerous dehydration levels are set to begin after the latest successful fundraising round for HealthTech firm WearOptimo. The $5 million boost will enable the company to progress its game-changing hydration monitor, through clinical trials at QUT.
