Prof Mark Kendall invited to act as co-chair of government initiative supporting stem cell therapies

Professor Mark Kendall has been invited to act as co-chair of the Expert Advisory Panel of the Stem Cell Therapies Mission, helping world-class Australian researchers further investigate game-changing medical treatments for many chronic and inherited diseases.

The Stem Cell Therapies Mission, which will receive $150 million over 10 years from the Medical Research Future Fund, will support Australia’s talented researcher to realise the potential of stem cell therapies for radically improved healthcare.

The panel will convene to apply its expertise in drafting a roadmap, which will assist with the Mission’s implementation and set priorities for funding.
