Manufacturing project worth $3.9 million

We are very excited to share that WearOptimo has been awarded a $973,000 grant under the Australian Government’s Manufacturing Modernisation Fund (MMF) through the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources.

$30 million manufacturing project

WearOptimo are delighted to announce our partnership with the Queensland Government, The Australian National University (ANU), The Australian National Fabrication Facility (ANFF), and others in a $30 million project. This project will support the production of our world-leading, lifesaving MicrowearableTM technology at a new Queensland facility which will be key in creating hundreds of high-value jobs throughout this decade. This project aligns with the government’s Queensland Biomedical 10-Year Roadmap and Action Plan to make Queensland a globally competitive Asia-Pacific biomedical hub by 2027.

The article, titled “We could lead the world”: Australia’s MTP sector shows it’s punching above its weight” showcased the 11 visionary healthcare projects selected for support in the BioMedTech Horizons funding stream, administered by MTPConnect.

Today, the Australian Government announced a $150 million injection for the establishment of the Stem Cell Mission to boost health and medical research in Australia.
