Healthtech innovator WearOptimo and leading healthcare provider Aspen Medical have reached another significant milestone in the commercialisation of ground-breaking microwearable hydration sensors.

Aspen Medical has shown its further confidence in WearOptimo by following up its multi-million-dollar investment with the finalisation of a Strategic Collaboration Agreement and Distribution Framework Agreement.

Clinical trials get the green light

Human trials of a microwearable sensor for the detection of dangerous dehydration levels are set to begin after the latest successful fundraising round for HealthTech firm WearOptimo. The $5 million boost will enable the company to progress its game-changing hydration monitor, through clinical trials at QUT.

Manufacturing project worth $3.9 million

We are very excited to share that WearOptimo has been awarded a $973,000 grant under the Australian Government’s Manufacturing Modernisation Fund (MMF) through the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources.

$30 million manufacturing project

This project will support the production of our world-leading, lifesaving MicrowearableTM technology at a new Queensland facility which will be key in creating hundreds of high-value jobs throughout this decade. This project aligns with the government’s Queensland Biomedical 10-Year Roadmap and Action Plan to make Queensland a globally competitive Asia-Pacific biomedical hub by 2027.
