Our talented and innovative, multidisciplinary team combines expertise in; biomedical engineering; advanced manufacturing; AI and data science; software development; regulatory affairs; and commercialisation.
We are rapidly progressing our powerful technology to product. On this path, we are seeking an exceptional Vice President of Engineering and Product: to lead our technology (engineering & advanced manufacturing) and product execution.
The opportunity
Reporting directly to the CEO, the mission of the Vice President of Engineering and Product is to lead the path of our technology to product – with accountability for engineering and advanced manufacturing.
Partnering closely with the AI / quantitative science function, you will develop our products to perform reproducibly in real-world industrial and clinical settings; and support WearOptimo’s corporate strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing & Product Leadership, including:
- Device (e.g. hardware & firmware) and advanced manufacturing.
- Field, Customer and Clinical Validation
- Leadership responsibilities, working within WearOptimo’s
executive.

About You:
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
- Proven senior experience in engineering, product development and advanced manufacturing; in comparable product-commercialisation leadership roles.
- Demonstrated experience in leading high performing teams to successful outcomes; in contexts relevant to this role.
- Demonstrated experience taking products or technology from development through to commercial adoption.
- Demonstrated experience delivering products; in medical grade environments.
- Strong ability to engage customers, partners and stakeholders to inform product priorities and delivery outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results, working across technical, operational, clinical, regulatory and commercial
teams. - Tertiary qualifications in engineering, physics or a related technical discipline.
Desirable:
- Experience in healthtech, medtech, deep tech, advanced manufacturing.
- Experience in a startup, scale-up or other high-growth environment.
